Parents often inquire about supplementary supplies teachers recommend for use in the classroom. Following is a list of suggested materials divided by grade level per page 21 of the WAS Parent Handbook:

Kindergarten:

• Sneakers for weekly gym class
• Smock (an old shirt) for Art/ Crafts activities
• 1 package of tissues
• 1 package of napkins
• Backpack (no rigid frames or wheels please)

Grade One

• Smock
• 2 marble composition books – 100 pages each, 9 ¾” X 7 ½”
• 3 pocket folders (12 ½” X 9 ½”) to carry class work (No Trappers)
• 1 package “classic colors” Markers
• 2 packs 24 count Crayons
• 2 large glue sticks
• 1 plastic pencil box (8″X4″)
• 1 cannister of disinfectant wipes
• 1 package of tissues
• Pencils w/ pink erasers (Ticonderoga)
• 2 pink eraser
• Backpack (no rigid frames or wheels please)

Grade Two

• Smock with name
• 12 pencils with erasers
• 1 pack of colored pencils (no markers)
• 1 box of crayons
• 1 red pen and highlighter
• 2 glue sticks
• 1 soft pencil case
• 2 (2 pocket) folders
• 2 Marble Notebooks (9 ¾ X 7 ½)
• 3 packs of post it notes (3 x 5)
• 1 box of tissues and 1 roll of paper towels
• 1 pack of disinfectant wipes
• Backpack (no rigid frames or wheels please)
